Why join a Dance Team

This is my first blog and it’s a topic that I feel is important. There is no greater pride than watching students grow in confidence and strength and reaching for Gold.

Why join a Dance Team!!

It gives students a chance to compete with other like minded students, who want to perform but maybe are a bit shy or lack self-confidence. This would be the ideal choice for that student as there are other dancers with you, and the focus is not solely on the individual but on the team as a whole.

The team is made up of students of all levels, where the more senior students encourage the newer ones to relax, and have fun with the song and the dance.

Remember there is no I in TEAM, and includes the supporters, and the people that help – we are all one big team.

Being part of a team means supporting each other and helping where needed and creates an amazing sense of achievement when you get that WIN.

We recently entered the “5678 Strictly Dance Competition” with a large percentage of first time team members, and it was brilliant – we got through to the finals. Although the pressure was an issue, it was enormously exciting.

On the night of the finals, it was great. Everything came together and the Ceroc Modern Jive Dance Team took 1^st Place, Adult Formation.  What a thrill and excitement all round as you can see in the pictures.

So I am challenging everyone reading this to think “Why shouldn’t I join the Ceroc Modern Dance classes, and become part of a Dance Team?   You don’t need a partner as the classes are rotational, and it is great for couples too.  We need guys, and gals. Spread the word, create the interest with your friends at school or college or in the workplace.
